Return To Race After Six Months

Under the Greyhound Racing Rules, a greyhound that has not competed in more than six months cannot be nominated for any race until it passes a veterinary examination and completes a satisfactory trial.

To ensure compliance with the rule, a 'Greyhound Health and Fitness Certificate Return To Race After Six Months' form must be completed.

Relevant sections of the form must be filled out by the greyhound's owner or trainer, a veterinarian who has examined the greyhound and an on-track steward who has witnessed the greyhound's trial.

Once completed, the owner or trainer must lodge the form with Greyhound Racing NSW before nominating the greyhound for a race.
