  • Tsohalis Appeal Scheduled

    The appeal lodged by Mr Angelo Tsohalis against the decision of the Stewards to disqualify him for a period of (6) months from 18 December 2009 under Rule 83(2)(a) will be held at 10am on Monday 22 February 2010. The disqualification followed an Inquiry into a positive urine specimen obtained from the greyhound DOIN’ NUFFIN at the meeting conducted by the GBOTA at Maitland GRC on 10 September 2009.

    The appeal lodged by Mr David Richardson against the decision of the Stewards to impose a fine of $2000 on 15 December 2009 under Rule 83(2)(a) will be held at 10am on Friday 26 February 2010. The disqualification followed an Inquiry into a positive urine specimen obtained from the greyhound Pure Power Play at the meeting conducted by the GBOTA at Maitland GRC on 3 September 2009.     Following recent complaints in relation to Team Bundy Syndicates lodged to Greyhound Racing South Australia (GRSA) Stewards and Greyhound Racing NSW Stewards, GRSA Stewards have summoned Mr. Brad Gully for an inquiry on Monday 25 January 2010. He has been further instructed to provide all details of members of all Team Bundy Syndicates and all Greyhounds including pups owned by Team Bundy Syndicates to GRSA Stewards.

    On Friday 18 December 2009 Greyhound Racing NSW Stewards conducted an inquiry into the analyst’s reports that the urine sample taken from Keroma Oh Seven after that greyhound won Race 4 at Maitland on 17 September 2009, had been analysed and found to contain the prohibited substance Pholcodine.

    Greyhound Racing NSW Stewards yesterday concluded inquiries into the analyst’s reports that the urine sample taken from Pure Power Play after that greyhound ran last in Race 8 at Maitland on 3 September 2009, had been analysed and found to contain 7 alpha-methyl-5 alpha-androstane-3 beta, 17 beta-diol, a metabolite of an anabolic steroid.

    Greyhound Racing NSW Stewards yesterday concluded an inquiry into analyst’s reports that the urine sample taken from Doin’ Nuffin after that greyhound won Race 9 at Maitland on 10 September 2009, had been found to contain the prohibited substance 6 Alpha-Hydroxystanozolol, a metabolite of Stanozolol. Initial evidence had been taken on 9 November 2009 and the inquiry was adjourned until yesterday.
