Welfare News

Dates and locations have been confirmed for the next instalment of participant education seminars. As part of GRNSW’s two ‘Training for the Future’ seminars in October and November,  Australia’s most experienced dog trainer, Steve Austin, will speak to participants and uncover the secret of better connecting with your dog.

Mr Austin has successfully trained quarantine, customs and drug detection dogs for more than two decades and his work is revered around the world. He’s a regular guest speaker at  American law enforcement agencies and serves as a regular judge for international organisations and events such as the Californian Narcotics Canine Association and the European International Championships of Customs and Defence Dogs.

Mr Austin recently spoke to greyhound trainers in Victoria, with positive reviews from the vast majority of the audience.

Of particular benefit to trainers and owners alike, Mr Austin provided trainers with new resources and skills to better connect with their greyhound, resulting in a happier more motivated dog which leads to improved on track performances, results and happy clients.

The ‘Training for the Future’ seminars are free to attend, with morning tea and lunch provided, and  will be held  in Sydney on October 29 and Maitland on November 26.
