Welcome to GRNSW’s Racing Week Ahead where we update participants with our upcoming events for the following week, highlighting several of those events for which nominations close over the next seven days.
It's that time! The Million Dollar Chase is here - and at Taree on Wednesday, August 30, the opening heats are upon us!
The card will feature 537m Ladbrokes Million Dollar Chase Regional Heats, with a $7,000 Final a week later and passage for the top three into the Million Dollar Chase Semi-Finals.
At Wentworth Park on Wednesday, August 30, there are 520m Maiden Heats which will feature a $6,000 Final.
Down to Dapto on Thursday, August 31 and we'll be treated to heats of the G1 Ladbrokes Dapto Megastar over the 520m! Not only is there a $75,000 Final for Group 1 glory, the first three across the line will also be Million Dollar Chase Semi-Finalists.
The Ladbrokes Million Dollar Chase Regional Heats roll on at Goulburn on Friday, September 1 over the 440m, again with a $7,000 Final and Million Dollar Chase Semi-Final berths on offer.
At the Richmond Straight on Saturday morning September 2, there are 5th Grade Heats with a $2,000 Final. Also on Saturday, at Dubbo, we'll see 516m Million Dollar Chase Regional Heats, again with a $7,000 Final and precious passage into the Million Dollar Chase Semi-Finals.
On Sunday, September 3 at Grafton, there are 450m 1-2 Win Heats ($3,000 Final), and at Broken Hill on Sunday, the Million Dollar Chase goes west with 515m regional heats ($7,000 Final + MDC Semi Final Berths). The card will also feature 375m Maiden Heats leading to a $1,750 Final.
We're still on the Ladbrokes Million Dollar Chase road at Maitland on Monday, September 4, where we'll see 450m Regional Heats held ($7,000 Final + MDC Semi Final Berths). Also on Monday at Nowra, there are 365m 5th Grade Heats ($2,500 Final) and 365m Maiden Heats ($2,000 Final).
It's Bulli's time to have that million-dollar sparkle on Tuesday, September 5, with 472m Ladbrokes Million Dollar Chase Regional Heats scheduled with - you guessed it, a $7,000 Final a week later and passage for the top three into the Million Dollar Chase Semi-Finals.
Finally, at Grafton on Tuesday, September 5, there are 350m 5th Grade 1-3 Win Heats ($2,500 Final) and 350m Maiden Heats ($2,200 Final).
