Welcome to GRNSW’s Racing Week Ahead where we update participants with our upcoming events for the following week, highlighting several of those events for which nominations close over the next seven days.
The Maitland Cup Carnival begins on 30th November - but first, we head to Temora on Wednesday 29th November for some 457m 5th Grade Heats with a $5,000 Final - this meeting will carry extra prize money for graded races over 457m & 570m. At Richmond, on the same day, there is also extra prize money for all races, and all races over 622m & 722m will carry City class prize money.
All eyes will be on Maitland on Thursday 30th November with 400m Maitland Future Stars Heats to be run, leading to the $15,000 Final the following Friday. The card will also see 565m 0-3 Win Heats with a $4,400 Final.
The second day of the Maitland Carnival on Friday 1st December is highlighted by the 450m Maitland Cup Heats – with a $40,000 Final on 8th December. Also on offer that day are 400m 5th Grade 1-5 Win Heats, leading to a $3,000 Final.
At Wentworth Park on Friday 1st December, we'll see a 520m Wentworth Park Battlers race with $4,000 to the winner.
The Gardens on Saturday 2nd December will see 400m 5th Grade Heats leading to a $2,000 Final, and at Grafton on Sunday 3rd December there are 450m 1-3 Win Heats for a $3,000 Final.
Finally, at Gunnedah on Monday 4th December there are 431m 5th Grade 1-6 Win Heats, leading to a $2,200 Final.
