Welcome to GRNSW’s Racing Week Ahead where we update participants with our upcoming events for the following week, highlighting several of those events for which nominations close over the next seven days.
We start off at Richmond on Wednesday 6th December, with 520m 5th Grade 1-4 Win Heats on offer leading to a $5,000 Final. This meeting carries extra prize money for all races and all races over 622m & 722m will carry city-class prize money.
At Casino on Thursday 7th December, there are 411m 5th Grade Heats ($4,600 Final), and at Gunnedah on the same date, there are 340m Maiden Heats ($1,600 Final), and at Dapto, we'll see 520m 5th Grade Heats with a $5,000 Final.
All eyes are on Maitland on Friday 8th December - it's Maitland Cup Final night! The meeting will also include 5th grade Maitland to Wentworth Park Heats - with a $6,000 Final at headquarters on 16th December. This meeting also carries extra prize money for graded races over 450m & 565m.
Also on Friday, at Goulburn, we will see 350m 1-3 Win Heats leading to a $2,000 Final, while at Wentworth Park there are 520m Maiden Heats on offer with a $6,000 Final. The meeting also features 520m Wentworth Park Battlers, worth $4,000 to the winner.
Christmas begins early at Wentworth Park on Saturday 9th December with 520m Non-Grade Christmas Gift Heats - with a $25,000 Final the following week!
There's also feature racing at The Gardens on Saturday 9th, with the 715m Newcastle Cup to be run and won, worth $25,000 to the winner. The meeting will also feature 515m 5th Grade heats leading to a $5,000 Final.
Also on Saturday at the Richmond Straight, we'll see 5th Grade Heats leading to a $2,000 Final.
At Grafton on Sunday 10th December, there are 450m 5th Grade Heats ($3,000 Final).
On Monday 11th December at Richmond, there are 401m 5th Grade Heats leading to a $5,500 Final and also 320m Maiden Heats ($1,500 Final).
Finally at Bulli on Tuesday 12th December the card will see 400m 1-3 Win Heats with a $3,000 Final the following week.
