Welcome to GRNSW’s Racing Week Ahead where we update participants with our upcoming events for the following week, highlighting several of those events for which nominations close over the next seven days.
The first stop is Temora on Wednesday 6th March, there are 457m 5th Grade 1-2 Win Heats leading to a $4,000 Final, as well as 330m Maiden Heats and 330m 5th Grade 1-4 Win Heats (both with $2,000 Finals). Also on Wednesday at Richmond, we'll see 622m 5th Grade Heats with an $8,000 Final the following week, plus 520m 5th Grade 2-4 Win Heats ($5,000 Final). There is extra prize money for all races, and all races over 622m & 722m will carry city-class prize money.
On Thursday 7th March, at Dapto, the card features 297m 5th Grade Heats - with a $2,000 Final the following Thursday.
At Wentworth Park on Friday 8th March, there are 520m Maiden Heats with a $6,000 Final plus a 520m Wentworth Park Battlers - worth $4,000 to the winner.
It's Country Classic Semi-Final night at Dubbo on Saturday 9th March! Aside from 4 thrilling Semis, the meeting will also see 516m 5th Grade Heats, with the $5,000 Final to be run on Country Classic Final night - Saturday 16th March.
The excitement doesn't stop there - at Temora on Sunday 10th March it's Temora Cup Final night! The meeting features extra prize money for all graded races over 457m, 570m & 732m.
At Dubbo on Monday 11th March, we'll see 318m Maiden Heats leading to a $5,000 Final on Country Classic Final night - Saturday 16th March. Also with Finals on Country Classic night, there are 318m Non-Grade Heats ($6,000 Final) and 400m 4/5th Grade Heats ($10,000 Final).
Sill on Monday but at Richmond, there are 320m 5th Grade Heats ($5,500 Final), and at Nowra, 520m 5th Grade Heats ($5,000 Final).
At the Richmond Straight on Tuesday 12th March, there are Dogs Only Maiden Heats and Bitches Only Maiden Heats - both with $1,500 Finals. Bulli on Tuesday features 400m 5th Grade 1-3 Win Heats ($3,000 Final), while at Grafton there are 350m 1-2 Win 5th Grade Heats leading to a $2,200 Final.
