Welcome to GRNSW’s Racing Week Ahead where we update participants with our upcoming events for the following week, highlighting several events for which nominations close over the next seven days.
At Richmond on Wednesday 10th April, there is a 520m Pathways worth $4,000 to the winner. The card also features 520m 1-2 Win Heats ($5,000 Non Penalty Final) and 622m 5th Grade Heats ($8,000 Non Penalty Final). There is extra prize money for all races; all races over 622m & 722m will carry city-class prize money.
Up to Casino on Thursday 11th April, we'll see 300m 5th Grade Heats leading to a $3,350 Non Penalty Final.
At Wentworth Park on Friday 12 April, we have heats of the Group 3 Ausure Ultra Sense over 520m for 5th Grade, with a $25,000 final, and heats of the GRNSW Masters over the 520m with a $10,000 final.
Due to this week's inclement weather it will now be Ladbrokes Golden Easter Egg Semi-Final night at Wentworth Park on Saturday 13 April. Apart from the four Egg semis we have heats of the Group 1 Farrell's Association Cup over the 720m with a $75,000 final, as well as a Non-Grade 520m (Best 8 (1/2/3/4 Grades)) worth $7,000.
The next day at Grafton on Sunday 14th April, it's time for the 450m Non Grade Best 16 Northern Rivers Cup Heats - with the final worth $50,000! There is extra prize money for all graded races over 450m & 660m.
At Richmond on Monday 15th April, there are 401m 5th Grade Heats ($5,500 Non Penalty Final) and 320m Maiden Heats ($1,500 Final).
Also on Monday, at Nowra, there are 365m Masters Heats – leading to a $5,000 Final.
On Tuesday 16th April, Casino is highlighted by 484m Non Grade Best 16 Northern Rivers Cup Heats - again that is a $50,000 Final! Also on Tuesday, at Bulli, there are 400m 5th Grade 1-3 Win Heats ($2,500 Non Penalty Final) and at Gosford there are 515m Gosford to Wenty (No City Wins) Heats - leading to a $4,000 Non Penalty Final, as well as 388m 5th Grade 1-3 Win Heats ($2,000 Non Penalty Final).
