Welcome to GRNSW’s Racing Week Ahead where we update participants with our upcoming events for the following week, highlighting several of those events for which nominations close over the next seven days.
The week ahead begins at Richmond on Wednesday 13th December, with 520m Maiden Heats on offer for a $4,000 Final. The meeting will also see 622m 5th Grade Heats leading to an $8,000 Final - there's also a 520m Pathways worth $4,000 to the winner. There is extra prize money for all races, and all races over 622m & 722m will carry city class prize money.
Up we go to Casino on Thursday 14th December for some 300m Non Grade (1/2/3/4th Grade) Heats, with a $3,200 final the following week. Also on Thursday at Gunnedah, we'll see 431m Gunnedah / Dubbo to Wenty Heats - with a $4,000 Final held at Wentworth Park on Friday 22nd December.
At Wagga on Friday 15th December, there are 525m Bidgee Maiden Heats - with a $10,000 Final on offer you won't want to miss them! At Wentworth Park, also on Friday there will be 520m 1-4 Win Dogs Only Heats and 520m 1-4 Win Bitches Only Heats, both with $6,000 Finals.
Still at Wentworth Park, but on Saturday 16th December, it's the Christmas Gift Final as well as the 720m Non Grade Christmas Cheer - worth a cool $25,000 to the winner. Dubbo on Saturday will see their 516m Gunnedah / Dubbo to Wenty Heats, with the $4,000 Final at headquarters on 22nd December.
Christmas comes to Muswellbrook on Sunday 17th December where we'll see the 431m Non Grade (1/2/3/4th Grades) Muswellbrook Christmas Cup, with $5,000 going to the winner. Also on Sunday, at Grafton there are 450m 0-1 Win Heats leading to a $7,000 Final.
On Monday 18 December, at Wagga, there are 400m 5th Grade Heats ($2,000 Final) and at Nowra, we'll see 365m Maiden Heats ($2,000 Final).
We round out the week at Bulli on Tuesday 19th December with 340m Maiden Heats, leading to a $3,000 Final on Boxing Day.
