Welcome to GRNSW’s Racing Week Ahead where we update participants with our upcoming events for the following week, highlighting several of those events for which nominations close over the next seven days.
We start on Wednesday 24th January - at Bulli we will see 340m 1-3 Win Heats ($3,000 to the winner final) and at Richmond, there will be 520m 1-4 Win Heats ($5,000 to the winner final). Finally at Muswellbrook on Wednesday, there are 336m Maiden Heats ($2,000 to the winner final) and 336m 1-4 Win Heats ($2,500 to the winner final).
At Wentworth Park on the Australia Day public holiday - Friday 26th January - there are 520m Maiden Heats on offer leading to a $4,000 to the winner final.
Saturday 27th January at the Richmond Straight will see the Richmond Straight Cup Heats run and won - with the final the following week worth $25,000 to the winner, and the card will also see 5th Grade Heats with a $2,000 to the winner final.
Muswellbrook highlights Sunday 28th January, with 571m Muswellbrook Cup Heats to be run in preparation for the $25,000 to the winner final a week later! The card will also feature 431m 5th Grade Heats ($5,000 to the winner final) 336m Masters Heats ($3,000 to the winner final). Also on Sunday at Grafton, there are 350m Maiden Heats ($2,200 to the winner final).
At Nowra on Monday 29th January, the card will see the 630m Non-Grade SGRC Anniversary Cup run - worth $7,200 to the winner, and also 365m Maiden Heats ($2000 to the winner final). Monday will also see racing at Richmond with 401m 5th Grade Heats ($5,500 to the winner final), as well as Dubbo, with 318m 5th Grade Heats ($2,000 to the winner final). Don't forget that Maitland on Monday is an additional prizemoney meeting for graded races 450m+.
Finally, at Gosford on Tuesday 30th January, there are 388m Maiden Heats, leading to a $3,000 to the winner final.
