Wednesday night's Wentworth Park card features two high-quality 280m races with the first city appearance of exciting provincial speedster She's A Beast in race 10, a fourth and fifth grade, the highlight.

She's A Beast, a daughter of her trainer Peter Lagogiane's former star Beast Unleashed, whose 10 wins from only 15 starts included the Group 2 Sandown Launching Pad and Gosford Gold Cup Group 2 double, has won each of her past four starts at Gosford and Richmond.

Although She's A Beast has not raced at Wentworth Park Lagogiane is confident she will acquit herself well on Wednesday.

An unexpected error occurred.

"She is well boxed near the fence in box two and went very quick when I trialled her over 280m following the last race at Wenty last Saturday night,'' Lagogiane said.

"She's A Beast clocked the quick time of 15.98.

"Her career has been interrupted by a severe bout of kennel cough which is why she has had only 10 starts for six wins and three placings.

"But hopefully it's all systems go now.''

Considering the Wentworth Park 280m record, set back in 2020 by John Miles' Laurie's Flyer stands at 15.72, She's A Beast's trial figures last Saturday night are outstanding.

Spring General has been placed just once in three Wentworth Park races where his best time is a moderate 30.23 but the dog has trialled brilliantly there and is boxed to win Wednesday night's Save The Date Stakes, a 520m fifth grade.

Unbeaten this year in three Richmond 520m races, Spring General has box two and only needs to live up to his Londonderry track form or his best Wentworth Park trials to win.

An unexpected error occurred.

Trainer Scott Board said: "Before he began racing in the maiden heats at Wentworth Park last October Spring General was trialling 29.70 at the track.''

Spring General appeals as the best bet on Wednesday with Wenty newcomer Shepherd's Way looking the night's top value wager in the GBOTA Welcome Stakes, a 520m one to two wins fifth grade.

Prepared by Joe Scerri, trainer of top class stayer Ritza Piper, Shepherd's Way has box seven in this preferred box draw event.

An unexpected error occurred.

After winning on debut over 400m at Bulli on January 9 from box seven, Shepherd's Way finished down the course there from box two before again wearing the black rug to an impressive 472m victory on February 16.

In that race Shepherd's Way led throughout in a fast 26.42, time bettered on the night by only Bulli Cup winner Nangar Larry in 26.35 and by Canya Love Me, a winner of six from 12 starts and a 29.67 Wentworth Park greyhound, who clocked 26.39.

Shepherd's Way went to the line full of running at Bulli indicating the step up to 520m won't present a problem for the dog on Wednesday night.

A heartbreaking sequence of awful Wentworth Park box draws comes to an end when Mr. Hermes exits box two in Wednesday night's Ladbroke It! 1-2 Wins 520m fifth grade, a preferred box draw event.

Although Mr. Hermes has been placed just once in five starts his record in town would be far more impressive if not for the fact that in each of those races he has drawn box five twice and box six on three occasions.

An unexpected error occurred.

Several of Mr. Hermes' runs have been good performances and he has been brought unstuck through trying to reach the rails from his wide draws.

Mr. Hermes proved his readiness for Wednesday night by making full use of box one to win over 472m at Bulli last Friday night.

Quantifiable was outsped and outstayed by her illustrious litter sister Mortified at Wentworth Park last Saturday night but with "big sis" absent on Wednesday gets her chance to shine in the Ladbrokes Same Race Multi Stakes, a 520m third and fourth grade.

An unexpected error occurred.

Quantifiable has won eight of her 14 Wentworth Park starts and has posted a slew of slick initial splits as fast as 5.38 so should only need to get close to those figures to lead all the way on Wednesday.

Last Saturday Quantifiable had box eight and with Mortified in box one she was unable to beat her sister to the first turn, so after being second to the home bend she relinquished the runner-up role near the finish to renowned strong finishing Zipping Novak.
