GREYHOUND RE-HOMING ORGANISATION GRANT SCHEME

Updated: Jan 2021

SUMMARY: THE GREYHOUND RE-HOMING ORGANISATION GRANT SCHEME WAS LAUNCHED IN JANUARY 2021 AND REPLACES THE RE-HOMING GRANT SCHEME PROVIDING FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE FOR REHOMING ORGANISATIONS IN NSW.

The purpose of this Greyhound Rehoming Organisation Grant Scheme (Rehoming Grant Scheme) is for Greyhounds As Pets NSW (GAP) to provide limited financial assistance to eligible greyhound rehoming organisations. The Scheme also sets out evaluation criteria for those applications made under the Greyhound Rehoming Organisation Grant Scheme (Rehoming Grant Scheme).

GAP has established the Rehoming Grant Scheme, under which eligible organisations have the opportunity to apply for up to $10,000 towards the cost of an item or service directly benefitting their rehoming activities of NSW greyhounds registered with the Greyhounds Welfare and Integrity Commission (GWIC). Examples of items which may be eligible for a grant contribution include but are not limited to dog trailers, kennel renovations or extensions.

GRNSW will consider applications made to the Rehoming Grant Scheme twice a year, with applications completed using the application form and due by 5pm on the twentieth day of March and September each year.
